    • I don’t think I could pick just one favorite Rani. For me, it largely depends on the circumstances. But I included several that I love in the list in the post. 🙂

  • “Red and Yellow, Black and White, they are all precious in His sight!” When they become precious in our sight too, then God is within us and only then are we saved…set free…from the corrupt view of seeing any of His people as less than we are.

  • lovely qoutes, love them ,specially
Strength means recognizing that it is impossible to be strong all the time. – Sally Franser
“We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful what we pretend to be”

“Give a beggar a million pieces of god and he’ll eat until he’s full and then he’ll realize bread isn’t the only thing for sale.” -Fable II (video game)

“Better to reign in Hell, then to serve in Heav’n” -Paradise Lost

“The dead know everything, but they don’t give a damn.” -Lokabrenna

“I give thee the ocean, sotrmy or tranquil,
Endless and boundless as my love for thee.”

    • One of the “beautitudes” in “The Sermon on the Mount” by Jesus Christ states: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.” Spirit comes from Latin: “spiro, spirare, spiritus (three principle parts of speech) and means “breath.” In Hebrew, it is “Ruah.”

So, if you read “Blessed are the poor in breath, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” it becomes clearer that this means: if you are poor in breath, you are on the way out of here and blessed to be on the way to there.

  • “The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There’s also a negative side.”- Hunter S Thompson

  • TELL HER EVERY DAY

If a husband who loves his wife,
tells her that she is beautiful,
that is enough for her to believe
    that if one man does,
    then all men
    who would love her
    would;
    and that should be enough
    to make her day.

    • In case you need to ask: the quote about “making her day” is also an original, wrote it this morning and put it on Facebook because it is my wife’s day off from work and it made her day. As of Dec 20, we have been married for 48 years, so, i think it is about time I gave her a kiss,, so I better close this.
      Marvin

      • Hayru:
I am 74 years old, and during those years I fell in love many times. I am married to Connie now and for 50 years come Dec. 20th. Before that, both she ahd i were very much in love with someone else and thought our happiness had just blossomed. But in both cases, it did not work out. Before that, I lost a girlfriend who carried on a relationship by mail for two years and then told me that she had leukemia and was going to die. She actually called my Dad to explain and made it where I could not call her. Dad and Mom called me to tell me and I sobbed. I thought I would never get over it. But we do, Hayru and if you have faith in your Creator and begin your search again when your heart cools down, you will surely find someone and vow that had you not gone through what you did, you would have never found her.

You are not alone, Hayru. We all have been through it. It is part of the search to find the right one. If the right one dies on us, we search again and find the right one for the rest of our life that is left. It is the only answer that makes sense.

The prayers of those who will read our letters here may sustain you in the meantime if you allow them to.

        Marvin

      • Never forget that you are not the only one who is having a hard time, and never take advantage of things that breaks your heart, just for a little bit of happines. I think there is one quote here that is perfect for you.

  • When i was a teen and in 4-H Club, the winner of the “I Speak for Democracy” Contest sponsored by 4-H was a girl. It was in the 40’s, so her words are dated, but powerful:

I Speak For Democracy! -by Elisabeth Ellen Evans

    I am an American.
    Listen to my words,
    Fascist, Communist.
    Listen well,
For my country is a strong country,
And my message is a strong message.
    I am an American,
    And
    I speak for Democracy!

My ancestors have left their blood
    On the green at Lexington
    And
    The snow at Valley Forge,

On the walls of Fort Sumter
    And
    The fields of Gettysburg,
On the waters of the River Marne
And in the shadows of the Argonne Forest,

    On the beachheads of
    Salerno and Normandy
    And the sands of Okinawa,

On the bare bleak hills call
    Pork Chop And Old Baldy
    And Heartbreak Ridge.

A million and more of my countrymen
    Have died for Freedom.
My country is their eternal monument
    This is my answer,
    Fascist, Communist!

    Show me a country
    Greater than our country
    Show me a people
    More
    Energetic
    Creative
    Progressive
    Bigger-hearted
    And
    Happier
    Than our people

    Not until then
    Will I consider
    Your way of life.

    For I am an American!
    And
    I speak for Democracy!

  • “Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of god, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.”..ღ♥H@rr!$ღ♥

    • Prayer does not change things. Prayer changes the attitude of the person praying so that they are in the frame of mind to change things. When you cannot see the “light at the end of the tunnel’ and you pray for answers, alternatives come to you and you try them and eventually one or more of them work to change your life for the better. You may think of someone to help you whom you never would have, had you not prayed and that person’s name popped up in your head. This is what it means to “Ask and you shall receive.” You are doing the research or “seeking the Kingdom of God.” Research in prayer is done within your own mind. Research elsewhere is just finding more resources to add to your mind. The answers are there, Patience and persistence is needed to find them. For that to be, the one who prays must trust the Creator.

  • When Matthew Henry, a well-known Bible commentator, was robbed. that evening he made the following entry in his diary:
    “Let me be thankful—
First, because I was never robbed before.
Second, because, although they took my wallet, they did not take my life.
Third. because, although they took my all, it was not much
and Fourth, because it was I who was robbed, not I who robbed.”

  • Thank you very much for these awesome quotes. They were some good ones.
Here are some quotes that I like. Hope, you enjoy them, too.

No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.

Fight with your strength, not with other’s weakness…As success lies in your effort, not in other’s defeat.

If success builds character then Failure reviles it.

And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.

Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.

Never fear shadows. They simply mean there’s a light shining somewhere nearby.

Confidence doesn’t come when you have all the answers. But it comes when you are ready to face all the questions.

For every minute you’re angry, you lose sixty seconds of happiness.

Victory belongs to the most persevering.

Courtesy is your most profitable asset and it is absolutely free!

Some people are so poor. All they have is money.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that is going to launch you into something great.

Don’t ever wrestle with a pig. You’ll both get dirty, but the pig will enjoy it.

A child can teach an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to always be busy with something, and to know how to demand with all his might that which he desires.

Never let the child inside you go away. If you do, you won’t be able to enjoy life any more (by ME)

Let your past make you better, not bitter.

Everyone is a genius, But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.

You were born original, don’t die a copy.

Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.

When you face the perils of weariness, carelessness, and confusion, don’t pray for an easier life. Pray instead to be a stronger man or woman of God.

Dignity consists not in possessing honors, but in the consciousness that we deserve them.

Many things shine brightly but they are not always gold.

You cannot fly like an eagle with the wings of a wren.

We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.

It is better to be envied than pitied.

It really doesn’t matter if the person who hurt you deserves to be forgiven. Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself. You have things to do and you want to move on.

Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow. It empties today of its strength.

One man with believes equals to a thousand with only interests.

The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter.

The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.

When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile.
