I have to wonder how you feel Yolander's post in any way compromises people's freedom of speech. As Yo points out, it's awfully hypocritical for you to say that when your comment in itself advocates limiting speech. Oh, the irony.

I also have to wonder why people have such a hard time with humor and satire when responding to posts on this blog. That's not meant to be an insult so much as a valid question. I'm genuinely curious. Are people just reading things too literally? Is it a language barrier issue for some? Is the newer post style sought here too much of a difference for some older readers of the blog? Is it an issue of being lazy, where people are simply skimming / scanning (not uncommon on the Web) and passing judgment without taking things in context? That's not directed at Sara specifically — just general questions I think are worth exploring.
