The Kindle is a great travel gadget but it is annoying when the battery runs out. My girlfriend had one and she was stressed because she had to speed read when they battery got low. She wasn't happy.

I was like that with my iPhone. The battery is good but I hate panicking about whether I will miss the end of the film. I ended up investing in a solar charging backpack from Infinit for my recent hols. Worked like a dream and is now the buddy to my iPhone and it charges my sat nav and my Nintendo DS.

Anyways, here's my favourite travel gadgets:

1. Apple iPhone - Say no more
2. Infinit Solar Charge Backpack - Endless Solar Power
3. Omega Seamaster Watch - Just Beautiful.
4. Nintendo DS - Great for boredom.
5. Griffin Aircurve - Awesome amplifier with no need for batteries.

Happy New Year!

Regarding the Kindle, I don't think it's a great idea if it's being used to save you the hassle of lugging magazines. Once you're done with the magazine it can be thrown away, lightening your load. By the time you return home you're carrying less than when you started. If you erase the magazine from the Kindle, the weight is still the same.

Plus, if you accidentally drop a magazine, it won't break. And it needs no batteries.
