Founded by Brett Adcock (founder of Archer Aviation and Vettery), Figure develops the Figure 02 humanoid robot designed for commercial labor including warehousing, manufacturing, and logistics. The company operates a partnership with BMW Group deploying Figure robots at the Spartanburg manufacturing facility, plus a strategic partnership with OpenAI for AI model development. Figure also developed Helix, an in-house vision-language-action AI model for humanoid control. The company has raised over 854 million in funding from Microsoft, OpenAI, NVIDIA, Jeff Bezos, Intel Capital, and Parkway Venture Capital at a 2.6 billion valuation.
