1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms, or the use of the DirJournal platform, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UAE Courts.

2. DirJournal as a Neutral Intermediary

DirJournal operates as a Passive Technological Information Source. We provide a directory platform that aggregates and displays business listing information submitted by third parties. DirJournal does not independently verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information, claims, or advertisements provided by the 30,000+ third-party listings on our platform.

DirJournal expressly disclaims all liability for any:

• Fake, misleading, or fraudulent claims made by listed businesses;
• Fake or misleading advertisements placed by third-party listings;
• Inaccuracies, errors, or omissions in listing content, contact details, or business descriptions;
• Any damages, losses, or disputes arising from a user's reliance on third-party listing information.

3. User & Listing Owner Responsibility

Listing owners are solely and exclusively responsible for:

• The accuracy and legality of all content they submit, including business descriptions, contact information, media, and claims;
• Compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws, including but not limited to UAE Federal laws, trade regulations, and advertising standards;
• Ensuring their listing does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights;
• Maintaining current and valid business licensing as required by their jurisdiction.

4. Content Takedown & Morals Clause

DirJournal reserves the absolute and unconditional right to remove, suspend, or modify any listing, review, or user-generated content that, in our sole discretion:

• Violates UAE public morals, decency standards, or cultural values;
• Contravenes any UAE Federal, Emirate-level, or local regulations;
• Contains fraudulent, deceptive, or materially misleading content;
• Infringes on intellectual property or privacy rights of third parties;
• Promotes illegal activities or services prohibited under UAE law.

Such removal may occur without prior notice and without refund of any listing fees paid. DirJournal's decision in these matters is final.

5. Affiliate & Commission Disclosure

DirJournal utilizes affiliate links and may earn commissions from third-party partners when users click on or purchase through links displayed on our platform. This includes, but is not limited to, featured listings, sponsored placements, and partner recommendations.

Affiliate partners may use cookies and tracking technologies to track referral traffic and attribute commissions. By using DirJournal, you acknowledge and consent to the use of such technologies by our affiliate partners.

Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial independence or listing rankings, which are determined by our internal quality standards and tier-based pricing structure.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, DirJournal, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, regardless of the cause of action.

7. Changes to These Terms

DirJournal reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
