About General Osteopathic Council

The General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) is the UK's statutory regulator for the osteopathic profession, responsible for maintaining the register of qualified osteopaths and ensuring standards of practice, education, and conduct. The council provides a public search tool enabling patients to verify that their osteopath is registered and qualified, search by postcode or county to find registered practitioners, and file complaints if standards are not met. As the regulatory body established by the Osteopaths Act 1993, the GOsC protects the public and upholds the integrity of osteopathic practice across the United Kingdom.
