The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center, serving as the primary platform for reporting internet-related criminal activity in the United States. IC3 accepts complaints from individuals who have been victims of online fraud, identity theft, phishing, ransomware, business email compromise, and other forms of cybercrime. The center processes complaints, analyzes data for patterns and trends, and refers cases to appropriate law enforcement agencies for investigation. IC3 also publishes annual reports, prevention tips, and public service announcements that help individuals and businesses protect themselves from online criminal schemes.
