DirJournal Verified Seals are URLs, not stickers. Every render re-checks your listing’s tier against our database before the image is served. When you upgrade, the seal upgrades on every site that embedded it — automatically, no re-embed required. When a plan lapses, the seal degrades to “expired” on its own. Trust signals tied to row state, not stock images.
Listed below in ascending scarcity. Most listings qualify for the entry tier; few earn the premium one. The grid’s visual escalation (white → dark slate → matte with emerald accent) mirrors the seal SVG itself.

Verified Listing
Authenticates active human-editorial oversight to search crawlers. Tells visitors (and AI assistants reading the merchant's footer) that the business is paid, claimed, and currently reviewed.
Eligibility
Any paid plan — Regular, Featured, Regular+, Featured+ — where ownership has been confirmed.
Why it’s honest
We only render this seal when the listing has both a paid tier and a claim record. The SVG route re-checks both fields per request — no defaulted-on state.
MIDDLE · 12-POINT EDITORIAL AUDIT
Authority Audited
Emits validated Organization / LocalBusiness JSON-LD on every page render — the structured payload AI crawlers consume. Earned only after passing our 12-Point Editorial Audit (5 automated technical checks + 7 manual human reviews).
Eligibility
Listing has passed our 12-Point Editorial Audit covering schema, NAP consistency, domain history, entity registration, leadership verification, and editorial discretion.
Why it’s honest
Tied to a single row flag (listing_metadata.is_premium_audited) set by an editor after the full audit. Auto-revoked if the listing's data drifts out of compliance.

Editorial Authority
The moat. High-frequency citation likelihood across AI search engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) when the entity graph is dense, the schema is valid, and a human editor has signed off. Reserved for Featured+ listings that have also passed the full audit.

Featured+ plan AND a passed 12-Point Audit. Both gates required. Few listings qualify, which keeps the seal scarce by design.
Why it’s honest
Two independent flags (tier='featured-plus' AND is_premium_audited=true). The seal can't be earned by paying alone or by passing the audit alone.

Sign in to /my-listings. Claim your business, or upgrade to Featured+. The Verified Seal unlocks the moment your plan is active.
Step 02
Paste the snippet
Open the Verified Seal tab. Copy one short HTML snippet. Paste it into your site's footer, About page, or trust strip.
Step 03
AI engines find you
When ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity crawl your site, they see a backlink to a paid + claimed + audit-passed entity on a 19-year-old directory. Citation likelihood rises.
What we deliberately don’t claim
No “E-E-A-T verified.” E-E-A-T is Google’s internal ranking framework. Nobody outside Google can validate it. Anyone selling external E-E-A-T certification is selling air.
No claims inside LLM training data. We have zero visibility into what crawlers ingest for model training. We emit valid structured data on your listing page; whether a future model cites it is the model’s call.
No defaulted-on verification. Every seal is gated on a database flag the route checks before each render. Cancel a plan, fail an audit, the seal changes on the merchant’s site automatically — not at our discretion.
