About

Border Bot

border.bot is an HS code classification and landed cost calculator for cross-border parcels. It returns the destination tariff code, duty, import tax and fees through a web dashboard, a REST API or an MCP server for AI assistants.

border.bot classifies products to tariff codes and calculates landed cost for merchants shipping parcels abroad. Users paste a product page URL or a description, and the service returns the code for the destination country, the duty, import tax and fees, and the total landed cost. Classification covers 10-digit US HTS codes, 10-digit UK Global Tariff and Canadian Customs Tariff codes, 8- or 10-digit EU CN and TARIC codes, and 6-digit HS codes for other countries. Each result shows the official description at every level of the code, a confidence score, the reasoning and the closest alternatives, and low-confidence results are flagged for review. The service also estimates a product’s country of origin from its page and shows the evidence used. Landed cost calculations cover the US, UK, Canada and all 27 EU member states, with a de minimis check for each destination. Other destinations are checked when a calculation runs. Merchants can use the results to collect duty and tax at checkout. Access is through a web dashboard, a JSON REST API with workspace API keys and idempotency support, and a remote MCP server that works with Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and other AI clients. Pricing uses prepaid credits with no subscription: one credit per classification or calculation, packs from $19 for 100 credits, and 10 free credits for new accounts. Free web tools allow three runs per visitor every 30 days without an account.
