Rettig initially built local-area networks for small businesses under the LAN Solutions name. Intrust now serves organizations in Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton and Nashville and is part of 3LS. Current services include managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud computing, AI strategy, Microsoft services, backup, compliance, network security and related technology support for small and midsize businesses, nonprofits and municipalities. Intrust states that it has supported long-term customer relationships since its early years and operates a local service model rather than functioning solely through a remote national help desk. Ownership is the company's clearest organizational differentiator. Rettig began transitioning Intrust into an Employee Stock Ownership Plan in 2019, and the company states that it became 100% employee-owned in 2025.
