Google Looker Studio is a free web-based business intelligence and reporting product from Google Cloud. Launched in March 2016 as Google Data Studio and rebranded to Looker Studio in October 2022 following Google's 2020 acquisition of Looker Data Sciences, the service connects to Google Analytics, Ads, BigQuery, Sheets, and hundreds of third-party sources through Community Connectors, and remains free with a paid Looker Studio Pro tier for teams.

Google Looker Studio, formerly Google Data Studio, is Google Cloud's free web-based business intelligence and reporting product. The service was launched in March 2016 as Google Data Studio inside the Google Analytics 360 marketing suite, opened to all users later the same year, and rebranded to Looker Studio in October 2022. The rebrand followed Google's June 2019 announcement and 2020 completion of the Looker Data Sciences acquisition, a reported 2.6 billion dollar transaction that brought the enterprise Looker BI platform into Google Cloud alongside the free product. Looker Studio now positions itself as the free entry-level BI product, while paid Looker Studio Pro and Looker Enterprise sit above it in the same product family. The application is entirely browser-based. Users create reports by connecting to a data source and dragging chart components onto a page canvas, with support for time series, bar and column charts, tables, pivot tables, geo maps, scorecards, and dozens of other visualisations. Community Connectors, published by Google and third parties, extend the built-in Google connector set that covers Analytics, Ads, Search Console, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Sheets, Cloud Storage, YouTube Analytics, Campaign Manager, Display and Video 360, and many more. Reports can be shared through a Google-Docs-style permissions model, embedded in third-party sites, exported to PDF, or scheduled by email. Looker Studio Pro adds team workspaces, service-account access, Google Cloud enterprise support, personal data-access controls, and access to Looker semantic models for organisations that operate the paid Looker product upstream. Google publishes the free version at lookerstudio.google.com and maintains the product through the Google Cloud team. Community channels include the Google Cloud blog, a dedicated Looker Studio Help Community forum, the Google Cloud YouTube channel, and Data Studio and Looker Studio subreddits, and the connector ecosystem gives Looker Studio one of the widest data-source support surfaces of any free BI product.
